CM Bergmann Waltershausen 20" 51cm Blanche

Beautiful doll incised C.M Bergmann Waltershausen Germany 1916 5. Blanche is in beautiful condition for her age wearing an antique dress with lace and embroidery applique, pin tucking fastened at the back with original eyes and hooks. She also has antique shoes and socks with some fraying of one of the toes seen in the photos. A beautiful example from CM Bergmann who learnt to manufacture dolls as an apprentice then starting his own manufacturing in Waltershausen in 1889 making bodies and purchasing heads from Simon Halbig and Armand Marseille and other companies. This wonderful doll has feathered brows, accented lips rosy cheeks and beautifully painted eye lashes. Her wig is human hair with pretty curls. Overall this beautiful doll presents very well her body has original tape/gauze around her body with original voice box crier that works intermittently very well. Her body has original paint and patina with some minor scratches and small marks. This doll is 20" tall and comes with original dress and shoes, human hair wig no undergarments.

The bisque head has been light checked and is free of chips and cracks.
