Elsie Kestner 264 20″ (51cm)  

A beautiful rare doll incised 264 produced by Kestner with pierced ears. Elsie is a porcelain Kestner Child 264, 20″ (51cm). Brown glass sleep eyes, angled lashes, gloss feathered arched brows. Open pink gloss mouth with peak accents, four teeth, pierced ears with gold heart earrings. Brown lush mohair original wig and pate. Original finish wood composition ball jointed body. Pale blue dropped waist day wear with matching bonnet, undergarments, socks, and white shoes. The mold number 264 was produced by Kestner for Catterfelder Puppenfabrik who were known as The Catterfelder Doll Factory specialising in hand made jointed dolls that walk, talk, slept, turned heads and jointed dolls that could sit or pose. This particular Kestner doll mold number 264 with pierced ears produced for Catterfelder does not have the initials C.P and only has the Kestner 264 mold number. A rare find, a true Kestner with pierced ears.

The bisque head has been light checked and is free of chips and cracks.
