Kley & Hahn

Kley & Hahn Doll Factory was founded in Ordruf, Thuringia, Germany, around 1895 by Albert Clay and Paul Hahn as a porcelain factory producing heads for biscuit dolls and bathing dolls. From 1902 to 1931, they made different types of dolls, including celluloid. Klay and Khan were also famous for their walking dolls and inverter dolls with movable hinges.


Some of the trade names registered by Kley & Hahn: Princess Dolly, Special, Durabel, K., Majestic, Maine Aingis Baby (My Only Baby), Maine Aingzig (My Only One), Princess, Schneewittchen (Snow White) and Walker. Klay and Han used the initials K&H when marking their dolls.
