Wonderfully illustrated throughout this Hard Cover tan cloth book with perfect gold gilding to spine and front cover, slight bumps on book corners expected with age, including dust cover that is good condition with some very small stains as pictured with some bumps and small rips to bottom front cover and sides. This book is in great used condition for it's age, the dust cover has an archival book sleeve for dust jackets to protect the cover. There are 225 pages all clean throughout no inscriptions. Illustrated in black & white by the author with a front piece and profuse full-page & textual illustrations. Nice clean used vintage first edition.

The author Clara Fawcett taught production of marionette shows for many years at a Massachusetts summer youth camp. She made her own marionettes and wrote the play lets for them. Born in England, and past officer of the Doll Collectors of America.
